I'm shocked and amazed that I am 52 (almost). I thought I was still 30. So here I am, single, with an awesome and funny son of 12 (almost) and wondering how I got here. I've had a very adventurous life, having lived abroad before settling back here. I enjoy people who make me laugh and love nothing better than a spat of witty repartee. I love to write, love good movies of many genres, ditto with books and music. I don't like sci-fi unless forced to watch with my son, in which case I can begrudgingly enjoy myself. By choice, however, I prefer real life. I love eating out in good restaurants, and most of all, above any other form of entertainment... I love travel.

My ideal mate would have a great sense of humour, be successful in his own right and have a healthy self-respect. I looking for someone who is generous ... with his time, his heart, his social responsibility. I enjoy men who are aware of current affairs but are not consumed by them, ditto with sport, have a good general knowledge, are not conspiracy theorists, and generally believe that the world is an OK place and people are by-and-large good.
