I am who I am.
I’m not perfect.
I’m far from it.
I don’t wear casual shoes,
Or own thousands of diamonds.
I’m the “just me” guy.
Sneakers, jeans, t-shirt.
Yeah, that’s me.
So what?
I like it that way.
Why should I listen to you?
And change who I am?
Why should I be someone
That I’m not?
I make fairly good grades.
I don’t cuss.
I have friends.
Not a ton,
But I have some.
Who maybe aren’t the most popular
kids,
But they understand me.
They are part of me.
And we are all different.
I’m different.
I don’t like One Direction, or 2 chains
It’s just not my type.
I have a weird taste of music.
Sometimes I like conscious Rap, conscious reggae and Dance hall ,
Sometimes I want them to be fast and
fun.
And when I put those headphones on,
Nothing else matters.
I consider myself pretty ordinary.
Normal, but different.
I’m very shy.
Conversations are hard for me.
I’m awkward around people
I don’t know that well.
Most people take one look at me,
And think I’m crazy.
I’m not.
I don’t go around saying how ugly I am,
Just for attention
Because I know I am good enough
To live a good life.
And so are you.
So don’t give up.
We all are imperfectly perfect in our own
way.
And if you can’t accept that is who I
am
Then don’t pretend to like me,
And then leave me,
Alone.

Looking For:
A loyal, caring, Loving,Respectful, ambitious African lady with a drive. Someone that wants to better themselves. I want a confident and conscious person.. someone with too much insecurities leads to someone who has trust issues which leads to a disastrous relationship of constant accusations, disbelief,arguments and and and.. I've been in that boat, rocked it and got off. I really don't want to go back to a situation like that. I honestly feel that people should try to search within themselves and learn to love themselves FIRST before engaging in a relationship where you always have to second guess your self or feel like you not good enough. That's how you are- you cant trade your self for someone better. so JUST rock YOU! :)
